Renae Azziz Ed.S., NCSP, of Virtuoso Education Consulting LLC to Deliver Keynote Address at the TCASE Great Ideas Convention.

Renae Azziz Ed.S., NCSP, a renowned national professional development consultant and CEO of Virtuoso Education Consulting LLC has been invited by TCASE to deliver the keynote address for the Great Ideas Convention to be held January 17th 2012. Her Keynote will focus on Reducing the Need and Use of Punitive Disciplinary Practices. Special Education Directors from across the state of Texas and other prominent figures from the field of special education field will grace this occasion. TCASE, or Texas Council of Administrators of Special Education, is a society that comprises nearly 1200 professionals from the field of special education. The society is committed to the promotion of excellent support service for students who have special needs. This is certainly a matter of great pride and recognition for Azziz, and her Indiana based professional development consulting firm. Speaking of the invitation, she stated that “This is a great honor for us to have ourselves associated with a prestigious body like TCASE. The three day long Great Ideas Convention will take place in Austin, Texas from January 17th through the 19th 2012. In addition to the Keynote address, Renae will also present a breakout session, titled, " Attitudinal and Policy Barriers to Addressing Disproportionality and Achieving Equity". During this presentation, she will be reviewing relevant data pertaining to the status of disproportionality around the Texas region, barriers that restrict these issues from being addressed, and guidelines to address ethnic and racial disparities.
