INDIANAPOLIS, IN –
Virtuoso Education Consulting, LLC announces its collaboration with NCS Pearson for the State of Indiana to provide professional development services associated with the ISTEP+ and IREAD3 assessments. As part of the contract Pearson has utilized a series of subcontractors to facilitate different aspects of the assessment process. Virtuoso was specifically selected to create and deliver professional development training for the IDOE and school personnel on the use of the ISTEP and IREAD3 assessments, the scoring process and rubrics, and interpretation of results.
A renowned education consulting firm, Virtuoso works closely with educational systems and practitioners toward achieving the mission of promoting educational change to ensure positive outcomes for all students. Content for the specialized training sessions will be a collaborative development applying Virtuoso’s research and experience, Pearson’s scoring and content experience, and the IDOE’s direction and input. The consulting firm will also create training materials to ensure content consistency across all trainers and training sessions statewide.
The Virtuoso team will apply their combined years of education research and experience to provide the quality training experience required to help schools accurately evaluate and apply the results of these standardized state assessments.
“We intend for this training to help educators understand and use the results of ISTEP to improve the teaching experience,” explains Renae Azziz Ed.S., NCSP is CEO at Virtuoso. “But it is perhaps more valuable for them to be able to communicate that understanding to parents so they are enlightened about their child’s progress and how that translates into a quality educational experience at school.”
